I was drawn in by the colors and had to know what these long flat colored glass things were. "Nail files," Jan told me. "Nail files?" I queried. Thus began my great discovery - the coolest gift of the season.

Many fans of television are looking for ways to enjoy TV during this writers strike. Some people are going out and buying seasons of their favorite television series. Some are seeking ways to watch shows they've missed online. A few people have chosen to find something to do besides watching television.
In the beginning of the strike, I began a series of articles reviewing the online episode players of all the television networks. Then I learned what the strike was all about, so I chose not to publicize my own work as it was something the writers are fighting for. I continued to write my reviews, but waited until now to let anyone know I'd written them.
See...
These are all articles I've written either this year or last year and there is sure to be something to help you find those perfect gifts!

Merry Christmas!!
I've had an interesting year. My son-in-law, Mike, left to fight in Afghanistan in February. He's an Army Paratrooper and we're all very proud of him!
I know some of my fellow writers on this website are unappreciative of all the attention my Big Brother 8 articles got. I was actually quite shocked at all that attention as well.
A couple writers contacted me privately to thank me for bringing readers to this website, but the overwhelming response from other writers was negative.
I usually write anything but celebrity-type news. Occasionally something will interest me enough for me to take the time to put something together - the crazy off camera stuff that was happening on the Big Brother 8 show was just such a thing. I had no idea people would actually read it.
Because of the writers strike, which I wholeheartedly support, reality television is going to hit hard this winter. Big Brother producers have decided to bring one of their most successful summer programs to the winter audience; therefore, Big Brother 9 will begin in February.
This blog post is for myself. I am setting goals for this day, and I am posting them here to force me to be accountable to myself.
Today is the halfway point in NaNoWriMo. The halfway point in days. If I were to be halfway done with the goal of writing 50K words, I would be at 25K today. I am far from it. I don't even have 5K done yet.
I need Christmas money. I don't go into debt for Christmas, so if I don't make the money, I don't get to shop. I need to write some articles that I can actually get upfront money for. For the next two weeks, I really need to push out those articles.
So here are my goals for today, Thursday, November 15:
1. Get to 7500 words on my NaNoWriMo novel.
2. Submit 3 articles for upfront payment.
3. Make that layaway payment at Kmart today (lol)
4. Don't forget to eat.
5. Go to bed before midnight so I can do it all again tomorrow.

I'm posting this because I realized a mistake I made yesterday and am in the midst of feeling guilty about it.
THE ABC'S OF HANDLING MISTAKES
A grizzled old sea captain was often spotted by his crew
opening a small, locked box on the bridge, peeking inside at its contents and shutting the lid before anyone might glimpse inside. The crew's curiosity grew and, on the day he retired, they rushed to the bridge, cut the lock and looked inside the box. There they found a sheet of paper that read, "Left - port. Right - starboard."
Are you afraid to make a mistake? Some people feel as if no one is ever paying attention until they make a mistake! If you goofed in a big way recently, maybe you need to hear about Roy Riegels.
My life is finally back to normal.. as normal as my life can get. So I'm on a writing frenzy. I need Christmas money... so I've gotta hurry up and write as many articles as I can. I'll be posting links to them as they get published.
My computer is frustrating me to death. Several times today I was ready to throw it across the room. I know it is because I'm trying to get caught up on so many different websites that it just keeps freezing up on me. I'm also writing a slew of website reviews and so ofcourse, several of those websites have frozen my computer up too.
I'm also participating in Nanowrimo, and I am sooooo far behind because I could not write for over a week. I was going to attempt to write some more tonight, but I'm afraid I'd get too much into it and never get to sleep. I need to sleep because I'm sore and my body is telling me it needs me to keep it's health in mind while I try to do it all.
*sigh*
I miss writing SO much!
I was told today that I am mental. This was while I was attempting not to get into an argument over the phone. As you can see from the previous post: "Somebody Make This Pain Stop!!" (www.writernia.com/node/1393), I have been in a huge amount of pain today and so while I was trying to get the lasagna in the oven and dealing with all the normal busy pre-dinner stuff that goes on in a house with two babies visiting for a length of time goes through. I digress.
The person who told me I was mental was angry because I spoke the truth. I spoke the truth gently even. And I didn't even go into all the truth details because I was trying to avoid this argument that I knew was not going to have any impact with this person regardless.
